Our vision as a Charitable Organization is of a community where racial equity is a lived reality, barriers to success are eliminated, and every individual is empowered to reach their full potential. We aspire to see affordable, safe, and sanitary housing accessible to all; and a place where economic, educational, and social growth is expected.
Since 2018, our EmpowerYouth Mentoring Program has been actively committed to shaping the futures of young individuals aged 12 to 21 in Polk County. Our coaching and mentoring approach focuses on personal development, educational achievement, career guidance, and training and job placement providing a solid foundation for our youths to become the leaders of tomorrow.
Our Workforce Development Initiative serves youths and adults in the community by providing coaching and mentoring, career counseling, training and job placement assistance. The program enhances employability, boosts skills and knowledge in high-demand fields, and promotes entrepreneurship. By aligning workforce skills with market demand, we pave the way for sustainable employment and economic self-sufficiency.
Family First is a holistic parenting program designed to support parents and caregivers in Polk County, including Lakeland, Winter Haven, and Auburndale. Our comprehensive curriculum covers effective communication, understanding developmental milestones, positive discipline strategies, and more. By strengthening parenting skills and family relationships, we, as a Charitable Organization, contribute to the creation of nurturing environments for children to thrive.
Our Reclaim and Rebuild Reentry Renewal Program aids formerly incarcerated individuals in reintegrating into society by providing resources, support, and guidance. The program offers services like vocational training and job placement, coaching and mentoring, job placement assistance, housing support, and counseling. We believe in second chances and aim to ease the transition process, reduce recidivism, and promote productive, fulfilling lives post-incarceration.
The Homefront Initiative provides emergency, transitional, and long-term housing solutions for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Polk County. Our mission is to ensure everyone in our community has access to safe, decent, affordable housing. In tandem with housing assistance, we provide supportive services including, coaching and mentoring and training and job placement aimed at economic stability and self-sufficiency.
Polk Community Connect is a mobile outreach program designed to provide crucial services directly to underserved areas of Polk County, including Lakeland and Winter Haven. Our outreach team provides resources, including healthcare screening, legal advice, training and job placement assistance, and food aid. By bringing services directly to those in need, we aim to break down barriers and ensure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to thrive.
